elite2strava is a straightforward application designed to convert CSV (Comma Separated Values) files into TCX (Training Center XML) format, which is compatible with many online sports tracking platforms such as Strava and TrainingPeaks. Given the diversity of available devices and data formats, users often encounter difficulties in uploading their activity data; elite2strava aims to address this challenge by simplifying the conversion process.

Many devices, including Elite's My E-Trainer app, export data as CSV files—plain text documents with values separated by commas. These CSV files can be imported into spreadsheet applications such as Numbers or Excel for review and analysis. elite2strava reads these CSV files and generates the more complex TCX files needed for detailed activity logging.

The application facilitates direct email transmission of the TCX file to Strava from an iPhone or iPad. Users should ensure they send the email from the account registered with their Strava profile. Key features of elite2strava include:

To utilize elite2strava effectively, users should export their training session from Elite's My E-Trainer app, which will then send a CSV attachment via email. The user needs to email this file to themselves, then open the received email on their device. Upon long-pressing the CSV attachment, a menu appears allowing selection of the elite2strava application. The file will open within elite2strava, where users can set the start time if desired. Afterward, pressing the 'Send to Strava' button prompts the app to generate an email with the TCX file attached. Ensuring that the email account used is registered with Strava, users can send this email. Within minutes, the activity appears in their Strava feed, completing the data transfer process.
